Weeks 17 + 18: Lübben & Rügen

Sinäänsä toi sitaatti nyt ei varsinaisesti liity näihin kahteen kuluneeseen viikkoon, mutta sen verran kuitenkin, että tien päällä on vietetty melkeinpä suurin osa tästä ajasta.Viime viikon torstaina pakattiin taas kamat kasaan ja hevoset traikkuun ja suunnattiin kohti Lübbenia ja Three Oak Ranchia. Musta oli oikeestaan aika mielenkiintoista vihdoin päästä käymään tuolla, koska silloin aikanaan hain alunperin Lübbeniin töihin. He kuitenkin välittivät hakemukseni sitten Sputikseen eteenpäin, koska eivät silloin tarvinneet työntekijää. Kisat olivat periaatteessa tavallaan aluemestaruus kisat, jossa siis ratkottiin Brandenburgin alueen mestarit. Tyypilliseen tapaan, kisat kestivät kolme päivää ja startteja oli USEITA. Mestaruusluokkien lisäksi järjestettiin siis myös ihan "normaaleja" luokkia. Vähän eri meininki täällä jo pelkissä aluekisoissa. ;) Mestaruusluokkien voittajat saivat myös automaattisesti tarvittavat kvaalit German Openiin, joka on sitten syyskuun puolessa välissä Kreuthissa. Katotaan nyt lähdetäänkö sitten sinne... Tarvittavat kvaalit ois kyllä jo kasassa, mutta saas nähä. Anyhow, sputislaiset menestyivät kisoissa todella hyvin ja mahtui mukaan muutama aluemestarikin. :)

Olosuhteet kisoissa oli aika haastavat. Torstaina lämpötila oli siinä 30 asteen paikkeilla, mutta se kohosi joka päivä hieman, saavuttaen sunnuntaina sitten 36 astetta! Vähän meinasi huumori loppua. Hevoset onneksi jaksoivat todella hyvin koko viikonlopun yli, mutta sen verran rankkaa oli, että peruttiin sunnuntain viimeisten luokkien osallistumiset ja lähdettiin aikaisemmin kotiin. Mua ei haitannut yhtään. ;) Illalla sitten koneellinen pyykkiä pyörimään, semikuolema sohvalle ja aikaisin nukkumaan, sillä maanantaina aamupäivällä suuntasin sitten yhden asiakkaan kanssa kohti Rügeniä. Rügen on siis saari Saksan rannikolla ja siellä on myös tämän kyseisen asiakkaan äidin talli. Hevosten lisäksi tilalla on myös mahdollisuus majoittua ja lomailla. Sattumalta yksi meidän asiakkaista olikin juuri tuolloin lomalla ja vietettiinkin aika paljon aikaa yhdessä. Olin siis maanantaista keskiviikkoon Rügenillä. Osaksi lomalla ja osaksi katsomassa tilaa, sillä jatkan mahdollisesti sitten sinne Sputendorfin jälkeen. Mutta pari päivää rentoutumista ihan muissa maisemissa teki mulle todella hyvää ja olisin kyllä mielelläni jäänyt vähän pidemmäksikin aikaa..

Sputiksessa tilanne on periaatteessa edelleen ennallaan töiden puolesta sekä fiiliksenkin osalta. Katotaan nyt miten tässä elämä etenee, mutta toisaalta ei mulla ole enää ku kaks kuukautta aikaa täällä jäljellä..

Basically the quote has not much to do with the past two weeks, except that I've spent most of the time on the road. On Thursday of last week we packed our stuff and loaded our horses and drove to Three Oak Ranch in Lübbern for a three day show. It was acutally really cool to finally see the place as I originally applied there, but they sent my application to Sputendorf as they didn't need a worker at that time. The show was a regional show, where the champions of the Brandenburg region were selected. Of course the three days weren't full with theses championship classes, but you could compete in "normal" classes as well. The winners of the regional championships automaticly qualified for the German Open, that is held mid September in Kreuth. The Sputendorf crew did really well during the week-end and we got a few reagional champions too! :) 

The weather didn't really play along with us during the show. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind sunshine, but with already 30 degrees on Sunday it got hotter and hotter and finally 36 degrees on Sunday! Luckily our horses managed amazigly well with the heat, but we still decided to cancell our last classes on Sunday and head home early. Needless to say, I didn't mind. :D 

On Sunday evening it was all about getting early into bed and relaxing after the week end and on Monday morning I packed again and headed off to Rügen with one of our boarders. Rügen is an island on the coast of Germany where the mother of this boarder also has a stable. Clients can also rent out vacation homes at the barn and as it happened one of our customers was spending her holiday at the same time. That was cool and we actually spent quite a lot of time together during the two days that I spent there. My trip was partially a small holiday and partially I wanted to take a look at the place as I might continue there after my time in Sputendorf is up. I rally enjoyed myself there and could relax! I woulnd't have minded to stay a few days longer. ;)

Other than that not much has changed. I still have about two months here so getting closer to the end.. Until next time!
