Pääsiäinen on täällä muuten aika jäätävän iso juttu.
Ravintolalla on aina tapana jossain vaiheessa iltaa pitää pieni pizzapohjan pyöritys show. Aika veikeitä juttuja niillä pizzapohjilla voi tehdä! Sen lisäksi ravintolassa kiersi taikuri. Tästä tietenkin lapset olivat innoissaan. Näin aikuisemmilla silmillä katsottuna taikuri oli ehkä hivenen kömpelö... :D
Jesh!
Tämän kuukauden ajan olen noin kaksi kertaa viikossa ratsastanut 8-vuotiaalla QH-ruunalla, Boogiella. :)
Week 4, almost a month in Berlin. Slowly I find routine in my work and the stress-level is going down. Or was going down until the end of this week, when we started getting ready for the Bavarian Spring Classic show in Kreuth. For the last few days training has concentrated on getting all the details fixed and I've been cleaning tack and packing, so that leaving for the show on Tuesday would go as fluently as possible. But the first part of the week was basic work: cleaning stalls in the morning and then getting horses ready for Isa. On Thursday our horse chiropractor was again here so I helped her and followed her treatments. Really interesting stuff! I could really consider studies in that field, but to be able to do that, you'd need two years of vet studies.... But we'll see.. :)
On Saturday, after work, we headed towards a big field just next to us, to an eastern bonfire, that was organized by a local fire station. You could also buy something to eat and drink there. One beer 2€, THANK YOU! ;) Even though I was way before midnight home, I still had this funny feeling the next day.. It couldn't have been all the beer and snaps I was drinking the day before. Nooo... On Sunday we had our own easter BBQ. We had burgers, salads, sausages, cake and again some beer. We didn't only celebrate estern, but also a birthday from a customer and their new foal. Eastern is here waaaay bigger than in Finland. It's normal to have decorations on trees and a bonfire is a must. And then there's always chocolate. I don't think I have ever gotten this much chocolate. Not even on Christmas. :D But I like it, gives you a reason to celebrate and hang out with friends.
On Friday my boss invited me to dinner with some guests they were having over for training. We went to a nice italian restaurant. The food was excellent. They also have a tradition to have a small show with pizza dough. Pretty cool stuff when they throw the dough around and manage to catch it and still have it look like a pizza. They also had a magician, which of course is amazing entertainment for the kids.
The pictures are from me and a 8 yo QH gelding called Boogie. I really like him because he's a challenege to ride. Far away from easy, if you want him good and forward. I've been riding him twice a week now and enjoy it really much. A little TLC and he'll be a great horse! He's for sale now, and I really hope that he finds a nice new onwer but would still stay here and that I could maybe continue riding him.. :)
Thanks to Sabine Bonnié again for the cool pictures!
