Week 5 + 6: From show to show

Ohhoh, onpas vähän jäänyt tämä blogin kirjoittaminen, kun on ollut aika paljon töitä eikä vapaapäivää. Mutta tässä ny kuitenkin pieni päivitys. Noh, Kreuthin kisat meni ihan mallikkaasti. Hevoset paranivat viikon aikana ja kaikki saivat lisää kisarutiinia. Sitä sinne vissiin mentiin hakemaankin. Mulla oli kisaviikko aika lepposta kotosalla, kun ei ollut treenattavia hevosiakaan. Auttelin sitten Gundulaa, siivoilin ja nautin rauhasta. ;) Viikon aikana vietin myös paljon aikaa varsojen luona, totuttelin meidän Cielaa riimuun ja rapsutteluun. Tammojen laitumella on mukavan rauhallista, siellä voisi viettää vaikka koko päivän!

Sain viikonloppuna upean tilaisuuden ratsastaa yhden asiakkaan hevosta, 15-vuotiasta QH-ruunaa Podocos Champia. Champi on tilan isännän entinen kisahevonen, nykyään toimii pääsääntöisesti maastoratsun ominaisuudessa.  Kentällä Champi oli aivan loistava! Laukavaihdot joka toisella askeleella, spinit, ympyrät jne toimi. Sliding stopeissa se ei ole koskaan ollut hyvä, eikä sillä nyt ole edes slidereita alla, joten en edes kokeillut stoppeja.

Viime viikolla sitten palauduttiin normirutiineihin. Eli autoin pääasiassa Isaa hevosten kanssa, pidin muutaman tunnin ja olinpas myös yhden päivän Lukasin kanssa siivoamassa tarhoja, kun meillä on pieni työntekijäpula saikkujen takia. Kyseisenä päivänä aurinko paistoi mukavasti ja tuli vähän väriäkin pintaan. Jepaaa.. :) Torstaina käytiin kisahevosten kanssa Birkholzissa maneesissa treenaamassa, totuttamassa ympäristöön ja katsomassa tulevan vklopun kilpailupuitteet. Kaikki kolme hevosta olivat oikein nätisti ja rentoina. Birkholziin ajaa vain noin 10min meiltä, joten suurta vaivaa tästä reissusta ei koitunut.

Perjantaista sunnuntaihin vietettiinkin sitten päivät kisoissa. Pienen pieni materialisti minussa heräsi eloon, kun katselin sitä blingin ja sävy-sävyyn-mätsäyksen määrää. Oisko ihan väärä motiivi alkaa kisaamaan vaan kaikkien oheistuotteiden takia...? :D Gut Sputendorfin jengi menestyi oikein hienosti viikonlopun aikana edustaen kaikkia lännenratsastuksen lajeja. Saksassa kun kisataan myös esim. Horse and dog trailissa. Mun rooli oli avustaa Isaa kaikessa mahdollisessa. Kuljin siis mm. Cowboy Magic kädessä, valmistelin kisahuovat/vaihdoin kisanumeroita, vaihdoin suitsia, pidin hevosta jnejne. Suhteellisen rennolla fiiliksellä, mutta kyllä hommaa riitti.

Tänään kävin osteopaatilla.. Hmmh. Selkä olikin enemmän jumissa, kun osasinkaan arvata ja polven kanssa riittää jumppaamista. Mutta maltilla eteenpäin, kyllä musta taas ihminen tulee. ;) Ja AINIIN! OLEN SUOMESSA 28.5.-2.6.! Mustialassa juhlimassa 30.5. ;) Nähdään!

Ooops, it's been a few weeks since my last update. I've been kind of busy and haven't had a day off to update my blog. But here's some news from Germany. The show in Kreuth was good. The horses got better during the week and everybody got more show experience. That was the goal and they're happy with the succes. My week back home was nice and relaxed as I didn't have horses to train. I helped Gundula, cleaned and organized stuff and also spent a lot of time with our foal Ciela. The athmosphere on the field with the moms and foals is just sooooo relaxing. I could spend the whole day there. 

During the week-end I got the chance to ride Podocos Champ. A 15 yo QH-gelding owned by Sabine Bonnié, our amazing client. Champi used to be a reining show horse, but is now used mainly on trails. But I have to say WOW! When I got on him and went to the arena and started to ride him, he was really cool! He does flying lead changes, spins, and his big circles are just great. Stops are difficult for him and he doesn't even have sliders on right now, so I didn't try any stops. But all in all it was an amazing ride! :)

Last week it was back to normal business. Mainly I helped out Isa, but I also got to go with Lukas and clean paddocks for a few hours as we are short handed right now. I didn't mind at all! The sun was shining so I could perfectly work on my tan. ;) On Thursday we took our show horses and drove to Birkholz, a place about 10min away from us. There was a show on the week-end and we wanted to go there a day before, show the inside arena to the horses and just check out the place. The horses behaved well and on Friday it was off to the show! I never figured myself to like all the bling and color matching stuff, but looking at it for three days kinda made me change my mind. Would it be totally wrong to start showing just for the fun of getting to wear cool stuff? :D The Gut Sputendorf gang did really good on the show and we had succes in all the disciplines. What was totally new to me was horse and dog trail. But it looks like fun! :) My job at the show was to help and support Isa during the week-end. So I made sure we had all the right tack with us, made show blankets ready/right blanket + right number, walked around with cowboy magic, held horses, etcetc. It was pretty relaxed but I still had quite a lot to do. 

Today I went to an osteopath. It was really interesting. My back was more blocked than I thought and my left knee needs some work too, but I'm sure I'll turn out just fine. ;) And I booked my flighs to Finland: 28.5.-2.6. you can see me there! And of course, May 30th at the graduation partey! ;)
